Fast, High-Quality Image Generation via Google's Nano Banana

Generate or edit images with natural-language direction inside a CNAPS Studio flow. The lineup includes nano-banana-2-1, with expanded image controls including 2K and 4K resolution options, a 4:5 aspect ratio, up to three input images, and seed specification. Available settings depend on the selected model. Processing runs on Google's servers through the Gemini API using your configured Google API key.

What it does

This node connects your CNAPS Studio flows to Google's Nano Banana image models through the Gemini API. Use it to generate images from text prompts or edit an input image with natural-language instructions — subject, lighting, mood, style references. It works with or without an input image, and because generation runs on Google's servers, you get top-tier quality without hosting any model locally.

  • Text and infographics that hold up — nano-banana-pro targets studio-quality output including legible in-image text and infographic-style layouts, a common weak point of image models.
  • Creativity control — Sampling temperature (0.0 – 2.0) lets you dial between predictable, reproducible-feeling output and more varied, creative results.

Aspect ratio of the generated image

  • Supported aspect ratios include 1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4 and 4:5. Available options depend on the selected model. Unsupported options are disabled.

Advanced Options

  • Maximum tokens for text output
    • Controls length of text responses
    • Only relevant when using text output
  • Sampling temperature (default: 0.7, range: 0.0 – 2.0)
    • Lower: More predictable results
    • Higher: More creative/varied results
  • Output resolution
    • Select the output resolution from the options supported by the chosen model, including 2K and 4K where available. Unsupported options are disabled.
  • Seed
    • Specify a seed where supported by the selected model. Keep the seed, prompt, input images, and other settings unchanged when comparing results under the same configuration.
